Andrew on 7-day-a-week childcare

He doesn't blog often but it's worth looking at when he does. Andrew has entered the child care debate, suggesting that the whole question could be more cultural than biblical. What do you think?

  1. I read Andrew's post and was encouraged by what he wrote - glad to know I'm not barking up a totally ridiculous tree with my own thoughts. I agree that culture and a backlash against feminism has a larger role to play in all of this than we give it credit for.

Hmm...don't know why I didn't just leave this comment on his blog. I guess I'm a creature of habit.

  2. I think it's nice to have a place where guys can enter the fray without seeming completely out of place.

  4. I had the same thought as Andrew re. our boarding school experience. I'm not a mum, but from an historical perspective, the model of full-time stay-at-home mothering that is being glorified in many circles is rather unusual, though so is the 'career' alternative. I do think both options put incredible pressure on mothers.
