Why was James in the bottom 2? Scott gone. All good.
Kate - Not my style but country fans would have loved this. 7/10
Stan - Easy to ignore. I was doing something else at the same time and was barely distracted. Big Band soul. Odd. Didn't like the ending. 7.5/10
Kim - Unimpressed. If you close your eyes, there's not really anything there. 5/10
James - Love him, as always. 8/10
Hayley - Little more forced than usual. 7.5/10
Nathan - good stuff. 9/10
Toby - still not into him, but this one is always going to get a big clap. 8/10
Kim needs to go.
I've missed a lot, but managed to see most of last night's. Man, there were some painfully awkward moments. James Morrison's bruttally honest critiques right before each performance. Kim getting very defensive after getting hammered. Andrew G mockingly reading an exerpt of Marcia's book. Eeek. Cringe cringe cringe! But I loved Harry Connick, he seemed like a great bloke.

Kate- Can't bear her. Had to look away.
Stan- Still my favourite, though I don't like the 'going to the toilet' stance he always does.
Kim- worst by far. Prettiness aside, her voice is a pile of nothing much. And her aspirations of being an 'artist' just make me wince.
James- Can't take him. He'd be great in a high school musical, but even though he may technically be 'a man', it's still looks like your little nephew singing 'Sexual Healing' or something. I had to look away.
Hayley- I like her. She is relaxed and fun.
Nathan- Started dull, but once he goes into a higher register, his voice is really good.
Toby- he annoys me, but thought his was maybe the preformance of the night. He really committed, and pulled it off well. And the song has such a great building melody, I can't resist it.
Stan was my favourite for the night. I don't like Kym's performances much. Meh.
ReplyDeleteBen - if you miss Scott, it's cause you haven't seen AI for the last couple of weeks. Good to hear it's not just me not being able to take Kate. I've been thinking I have some dreadful prejudice against her hat.

I really don't like Kate's hat. But I feel a little guilty that she isn't my favourite as she comes from my home town. I don't think much of Stan and his performances. Actually, I don't really think I'd mind if I didn't watch the show for the rest of the season. Am I being harsh?
